My father used to actually do this to me every morning. Needless to say I had to kill him. :)

This marks Eric's first appearance in the strip. As you can see he looks very different than he does now. I also had him working at Popsi Cola (see his pocket in the first panel). My dad worked for Pepsi so I was drawing on reality in more ways than one for this strip. Eric has been the character that has evolved the most over the years. I think I've finally nailed him down design wise.
